Shavaughn Barnes, also known as Shevie, is the current advisor to The Florida Youth Council. Shevie has aspirations to become a motivational speaker in the future as she works towards this goal. She is also in training to gain her teaching license. She currently owns a homeschooling business where she helps students who struggle with learning. She was the Ms. Wheelchair FL in 2018. She advocates strongly for youth independence. She plans to create a curriculum that will teach students about those with disabilities.  She has been a member of The Florida Youth Council for 10 years and different disability organizations for the past 20 years.
